United Shippers Corporation cannot achieve our goals without the trust and confidence of our clients.  As such, we try to keep our privacy policy clear, thorough, simple to read, and readily available.

In short... We have not, do not, and will not share, sell, trade, or barter any information obtained through this website other than to comply with regulations or reasonable requests of US government and law enforcement officials.

Data files on our web server records internet protocol addresses, browser types used, date/time stamps, and other broad demographic information. We use this information to administer the website, analyze trends, and improve the value of our services.  Information contained in the log files are not personally identifiable, and we make no attempt to link them with the individuals that actually visit the website.

We utilize the business related information you provide (IE: shipper, consignee, pieces, weight, etc.) to execute the services you specifically request.  Due to the nature of the freight transportation industry, our vendors require this information to perform these services.  We do not share any information with our vendors that is not specifically required to perform these services.

We share business related information with professional services firms (IE: certified public accountants, etc.) for tax, and other legal compliance issues.  Professional services firms we procure are required to submit privacy policies of their own, or otherwise demonstrate their willingness, and ability, to reasonably protect the information in  their possession.

We reserve the right to use the information in our possession to make credit decisions, to pursue collection of outstanding debts,  or to otherwise protect our legal interests.

In the event United Shippers Corporation goes through a business transition (such as a merger, acquisition by another company, splitting off, or selling a portion of it's assets), business related information will, in most cases, be part of the assets transferred.  Details of any such events will be announced on a page of this website, and a link (pointer) to the announcement will be placed on the home page for thirty days..  

This website contains a limited number of links to other websites, we believe may be of interest to our visitors.  We do not allow "banner ads" or other advertisements to be placed on our website, and receive no compensation for the placement of website links on this site.  United Shippers Corporation has no control over the privacy practices of other websites.  We encourage all web "surfers" to review privacy policies before submitting personal information to any website they visit. 

This privacy policy was developed as an extension of our commitment to provide the highest quality of services, while maintaining the highest level of integrity, in dealing with our clients.  The policy will be continually accessed to insure we maintain this commitment, and to respond to our clients needs.  Should we find the need to change the policy in the future, we will post those changes on this page.  We will also post a notice of privacy policy changes on the home page for thirty days,  and include a direct link to the amended privacy policy.
